What is an organic diet, raw food diet, and what are the benefits?
Organic food is food that is produced by farming without the use of pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, genetically modified organisms (GMOs), or other artificial additives. Organic meat, eggs and dairy products come from animals that are given no antibiotics or growth hormones. Organic produce is grown without using most conventional pesticides; it may be grown in composted soil with animal manure.

My Personal Experience
has been to add these varieties of eating styles to my diet. I gained a few pounds during the lockdown, 2 years ago and fell into the “couch potato” syndrome, my back was ache and my legs got weak. My gym kept opening and closing (my excuse, okay). Yep, I did start walking, but I wasn’t consistent. So I decided to change my diet and get rid of those bad habits….two years later.
When I went to Costco’s, I saw a Raw Foods Recipe Book, and bought it. A friend of mine suggested I go to Pinterest for recipes, as well. Oh, that was it! I have a sweet tooth, and I found some raw brownies and other desserts like making ice cream with two ingredients. Yep! Bananas and Rice Milk! That was the start of my conscious eating journey. I had chosen some great Raw food recipes for 1 or 2 days out of the week, and the next day or two, find some tasty vegetarian recipes to prepare, and the rest of the week I would eat what I normally eat. Yes, it’s Organic Au Gratin Potatoes, or Wild Rice, Sweet Potatoes or beans. At times, I would make some Ox-Tail Stew, or bake an Organic Chicken, Shoulder Blade Lamb Chops with Chinese Broccoli, a great filling salad and/or a pot of Mustard Greens. There are so many different dishes I love to prepare, so I think mixing the healthy food choices gives me more balance in my food intake. Food is one of the pleasures of Life!
